Air Canada Wi-Fi cost: prices and plans (2026)
Short answer
Air Canada does not publish a rate card: it says prices vary by flight duration and are only shown once you are logged into the onboard portal. Free Wi-Fi covers Aeroplan members, United MileagePlus members and Business Class within North America and to Sun destinations.
We would rather say that than print a number we cannot stand behind.
Priced on board, no public rate card
| Product | When it applies | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Onboard Wi-Fi pass Payable by any major credit card, or with Aeroplan points from the onboard portal. | Per flight, priced by flight duration | Not published |
| Air Canada Elite Wi-Fi plan Must be chosen as a select benefit and then activated on board by December 30 of the current year. | 12 months unlimited on any Wi-Fi-equipped Air Canada flight | Not published |

Worth knowing before you pay
- Free texting does not carry photos, videos, attachments, VoIP or SMS.
- Voice service including VoIP is not supported at all.
- Free Wi-Fi is a North America / Sun destinations benefit — it is not a whole-network guarantee.
- Refunds are handled by the provider at gogoair.com, not by Air Canada.
How we know
Checked against Air Canada's own Wi-Fi page on 2026-08-02.
What we could not confirm:
- Any actual cash price or points price for a Wi-Fi pass.
- Whether long-haul international free Wi-Fi has actually gone live.
Airlines change these terms without notice. Treat this as a strong prior, not a guarantee.
