Is Qatar Airways Wi-Fi free? Who gets it, and when
Short answer
Only for some passengers. Full Wi-Fi is free for Privilege Club members on Starlink-equipped flights and Student Club members. Everyone on Starlink-equipped flights and Privilege Club members on non-Starlink aircraft get a free time window.
Who flies free
- Everyone on Starlink-equipped flightsFree for a limited time45 minutes of free internet. Available flying to over 130 destinations on B777, A350 and B787 aircraft; gate-to-gate access only at select airports.
- Privilege Club members on Starlink-equipped flightsFull Wi-Fi, freeUninterrupted free connection for the full duration of the flight. Joining is free.
- Privilege Club members on non-Starlink aircraftFree for a limited timeOne hour of complimentary on-board Wi-Fi.

Worth knowing before you pay
- A purchased access code works on one device at a time — to switch devices you must log out of the first.
- Purchased Wi-Fi is non-refundable; the code is valid for one year and single use.
- Gate-to-gate access is only available at select airports.
- Starlink is route- and aircraft-dependent and subject to equipment changes, so a listed destination is not a guarantee.
- Using OnAir or AeroMobile roaming instead bills at international roaming rates from your own carrier.
How we know
Checked against Qatar Airways's own Wi-Fi page on 2026-08-02.
What we could not confirm:
- Every price for the non-Starlink paid product.
- The pre-purchase page's actual rate card.
- The captive portal address.
Airlines change these terms without notice. Treat this as a strong prior, not a guarantee.
