Is KLM Wi-Fi free? Who gets it, and when

Short answer

Only for some passengers. Full Wi-Fi is free for Flying Blue members on European flights.

Who flies free

  • Flying Blue members on European flightsFull Wi-Fi, free
Unlimited free internet for the whole flight after logging in or registering as a Flying Blue member, on equipped aircraft. KLM is rolling this out in phases across the A321neo, Embraer 195-E2 and part of the 737-800 fleet.

Worth knowing before you pay

  • KLM's European fleet has no seatback screens — the free Wi-Fi is the entertainment.
  • Free Wi-Fi is not fleet-wide on European routes; only equipped aircraft carry it.

How we know

Checked against KLM's newsroom on 2026-08-02.

What we could not confirm:

  • The Wi-Fi network name / SSID.
  • The captive portal address.
  • Any price for any paid tier, on any route.
  • Whether a free messaging tier exists for non-members.
  • Intercontinental free-access rules by cabin or Flying Blue tier.
  • The connectivity provider.

Airlines change these terms without notice. Treat this as a strong prior, not a guarantee.
