Is JetBlue Wi-Fi free? Who gets it, and when

Short answer

Yes — JetBlue Wi-Fi is free for every passenger, with no membership required.

Who flies free

  • EveryoneFull Wi-Fi, free
All JetBlue planes have free high-speed Fly-Fi. JetBlue's own FAQ answers "How much does Fly-Fi cost?" with "You can surf, shop and stream for free."

Worth knowing before you pay

  • On Viasat-2 aircraft Fly-Fi may drop on portions of routes to/from Alaska, Ecuador and Peru; on other aircraft it may be unavailable entirely outside the contiguous US.
  • Cellular, FaceTime and VoIP calling are not permitted on any flight.
  • Heavy use triggers deliberate speed throttling — background app updates and repeated speed tests are common causes.
  • On Apple devices, enable Auto-Join for the flyfi.com network to stop intermittent drops.

How we know

Checked against JetBlue's own Wi-Fi page on 2026-08-02.

What we could not confirm:

  • Whether Amazon Leo-equipped aircraft keep exactly the same login flow — JetBlue says only that it is "still free for everyone".

Airlines change these terms without notice. Treat this as a strong prior, not a guarantee.
